Our ecommerce website designers had some unique programming challenges with this caviar site. The client must ship the perishable caviar overnight inside of a cooler with dry ice. There is no other option for foods like this. They have retail and wholesale ecommerce on the website and since many of the clients are restaurants they have to offer shipping when the client wants the products to arrive. We setup the website in a way that it looks at the time of day on the hosting server and the website determines if it is too late to ship for next day arrival. Additionally the website will allow Friday shipping but when the day of the week is Friday then the website offers an option; Tuesday arrival or for $10.00 extra Saturday arrival. Friday shippemnts can't arrive on Monday because over the weekend the food products would spoil. We custom made this shopping cart so that it would be aware of this problem and not allow Friday shipments unless the client agrees to the $10.00 Saturday delivery fee. Otherwise Friday orders are shipped next day air on Monday for Tuesday arrival.

Since they offer both retail and wholesale ecommerce we built in a system in which the wholesale clients can login with a user id and password and view an exact copy of the website but it shows the wholesale prices.

The website owners also have the ability to go to a content management system where they can change the prices, add new products and add new pages. No programming skills at all are required to preform any of these functions.
